About Us

This website was created by 9th-grade students Anastasia Valavanidou and Styliani Sigkou from the American International School Pinewood as part of our community project. We decided to work on this project because we want to help immigrants who are new to this country. We understand how difficult and confusing it can be to arrive in a new place and feel lost or out of place. Many people don't always show kindness or understanding to newcomers, and we believe it's important to offer support and compassion to those who may need it most.

Our Project

Our goal is to ensure More Like Home is a suitable and easy to use website that will assist immigrants moving to Thessaloniki. Further more, More like home includes places in order for immigrants to learn and adapt to their new home as well as descriptions and information as to why these sites are suitable for them.
